E. R. Taylor & Ann George

Building a Life Together

At the center of this story are E. R. Taylor and Ann George. In the aftermath of the Civil War, they built a life together and established a 600-acre farm outside Houston, where they raised six children.

The Taylor-Stevenson Ranch

The Ranch and the Energy Legacy

Their daughter Nettie Taylor married Jerome Aredell Williams, bringing the Taylor and Williams branches of the family together. They were Daisi’s great-grandparents. Oil discovered on the family property in 1921 connected its agricultural history to Texas’ energy economy. A portion of the original farm remains the Taylor-Stevenson Ranch, carried forward by descendants and continuing agricultural traditions.

Enterprise, Invention, and Legacy

Nettie Taylor married Jerome Aredell Williams, whose life connected ranching, oil, real estate, invention, and literature. His novel, The Tin Box: A Story of Texas Cattle and Oil, preserves a voice from that history. Their son, Jerome Edward Williams, brought the family’s entrepreneurial spirit into engineering and later investment. Through his daughter, Felicia Vivian Williams, that inheritance passed to Daisi Pollard Sepulveda.

Carrying the Story Forward

In 2024, following the death of her mother, Felicia Vivian Williams, Daisi Pollard Sepulveda took on responsibility for the Williams family inheritance. Through Murrow & Williams Holdings, she manages inherited Texas land and connected interests, bringing family history into decisions about land management, mineral ownership, and future generations.
