FAMILY HISTORY
The People Behind the Legacy
A family history is more than a list of names and dates. It is the record of the relationships, resilience, and responsibilities that shaped what was passed to us—and what we are committed to steward for the generations ahead.

THE FAMILY STORY
A Legacy of Resilience and Stewardship
E. R. Taylor & Ann George
Building a Life Together
At the center of this story are E. R. Taylor and Ann George. In the aftermath of the Civil War, they built a life together and established a 600-acre farm outside Houston, where they raised six children.
The Taylor-Stevenson Ranch
The Ranch and the Energy Legacy
One of their children was Nettie Williams, Daisi’s great-grandmother. Oil was discovered on the family property in 1921, connecting the family’s agricultural history to Texas’ emerging energy economy. A portion of the original farm remains the Taylor-Stevenson Ranch, carried forward by descendants and continuing agricultural traditions.

PRESERVING THE RECORD
History with a Purpose
The people, places, and choices behind our inheritance continue to shape how we see land, energy, and responsibility. We preserve this history as a guide for the stewardship decisions ahead.
Carrying the Story Forward
The story continues through the way we care for the land and mineral interests entrusted to us. Learn more about the holdings and stewardship principles that carry this legacy forward.
